Springer Rescue for Scotland is a Registered Scottish Charity which helps rescue and rehome Springer Spaniels across Scotland and provides support and education for owners and families. SRS wishes a Happy New Year to all our volunteers, adopters, foster carers and supporters. Many thanks for all your hard work and generosity in 2011 which has allowed us to re-home 97 dogs in the year. Here’s to carrying on the good work in 2012.

We continue to re-home dogs throughout the Festive Season. Fudge and Mylo have just gone off to their new homes. Well done to our foster families who do a great job looking after all our dogs.
On Saturday 3rd December 2011 we will be at the Howgate Christmas Market from 9.30 till 1.00pm, Howgate Village Hall, on the Penicuik Road, Howgate, Midlothian. Come along and see us and stock up on Christmas goodies!
The Following week, on Saturday 10th December 2011, we will have a stand at Penicuik Christmas Fair. Details to follow.
SRS will be at Pets at Home in Aberdeen on Saturday 19th November from 10am to 5pm. we look forward to meeting you there!
SRS had a great day at the GBAS show at Ingliston, Edinburgh on Saturday 12 November 2011 where we raised over £390 for the Charity. Many thanks to all our generous donors and customers and also to the volunteers who gave up their time to make it happen.
We are now taking orders for our 2012 SRS calendar: it makes a great Christmas present!

Another great day for SRS at Haddington Farmers Market on Saturday 29 October 2011. We raised a fantastic £130 and met a lot of potential volunteers and adopters. Well done to all concerned.
Floyd (one of our Special Dogs) came into SRS with a serious heart problem and our vet gave him a only a few weeks; Richard and Karen his fostercarers kindly volunteered to look after and spoil Floyd until it was time to say goodbye. Unfortunately that time came and Floyd passed away this morning. Our thanks to Richard and Karen for making Floyd’s time as happy and comfortable as possible.
On Saturday 29 October 2011 we are having a Quiz Night at the Newbridge Bowling Club. We are looking for teams of 4 people to participate and the cost per team is £20. There will be prizes awarded to the winning team and runner-up. Come along and support us!

Penicuik Street Fair last Saturday 17 September 2011 was a great success. Despite dodging the showers we made almost £120 and had serious interest in fostering and volunteering from a number of people.
